Candidate for Governor Joe Visconti sends us this reminder from Middletown while he is waiting on the very long line with the rest of the gun owners to comply with the new gun laws so that law abiding citizens do not turn into Felons on Jan 1st 2014 due to the new gun laws passed by Malloy & McKinney on April 4th 2013
Please get your paperwork handed in by 3pm Dec 31st 2013 or Post-Marked before midnight 12-31-13 (send it certified return receipt for your records)
Remember in November who the elected officials who have voted to steal your rights to self protection with the banning of guns & registering of magazines that hold more than 10 rounds & are imposing extra taxes on your ammo purchases which are also now being tracked at some stores with the recording of the ammo certificate numbers &/or pistol permit numbers when buying ammo as reported by gun owners buying ammo at Dick's Sporting Goods chains in CT
Vote for Constitutional Candidates for all seats up for election in CT in 2014 Send up to Hartford & DC candidates who will fight to fully restore Constitutional Laws
Yes it's only a short time after our local elections & already I'm looking forward to the elections for 2014
Why - because I care about my country & my state & I want my grandchildren to have a chance to live in freedom & peace in the USA The current administrations at both the State Level & Federal Level have done much to destroy both CT & the USA
Best CT Ticket for CT would be as follows from those who already declared or are expected to declare they're running I'll go into details as to why I think this is the ticket that should be put forth in the coming days
Governor - Joe Visconti - Has formally announced
Lt Gov - Penney Bacchiochi - Has an Exploratory Committee
Atty Gen - Martha Dean - has not yet announced but is expected to in the coming weeks
Sec of State - Peter Lumaj - Has formally announced
Treasurer - not yet decided but an accountant would be ideal here or businessman -
State General Assembly seats - will do a post on later Federal House of Representative - will do a post on later
Start your research now on where the candidates stand on the issues for 2014 Most importantly educate your friends & neighbors
Get active in the meetings at your town halls & up there in the meetings in Hartford because they do have more planned for gun grabbing & higher taxes in the near future They need to see that We the People are going to hold them accountable at our Local & State Level as well as Federal
We may not all be able to go down to DC but we can each make the time to get up to Hartford during the public meetings & make our voices heard
If you're not doing something to get different people into office in 2014 , 2015 & 2016 then you are part of the problem
This has been quite an eventful year & it's only a few more days until it's over
Another workplace violence incident has occurred this time in our country's capitol A crime committed by an unstable man that most likely never should have gotten a security clearance to be able to have the ID card that allowed him to get on the Navy Base
Now of course because of that the gears are starting to move to take away more of our Constitutionally Guaranteed Rights
Congressmen are trying to stir up their constituents to support the pending Gun Grab that is on the horizon
Another couple of school shootings in other states occurred but the results were quite different than what happened in Newtown because there were armed school resource officers there in those schools, the national news didn't talk about those incidents for very long
What did get plenty of attention in the news & a huge over reaction by police were 2 incidentsat CT college campuses where people called in to say there was a gunman on campus
1st poor guy was still in his Halloween costume got off the bus ran across campus because he was late for class. SWAT teams swarmed in & the college was on lockdown ..... the young man was arrested & his home searched & his father a teacher at the very same college country was in complete shock. I think most people were shocked at both the response as well as the arrest because the young man didn't have a gun in his ninja costume
2nd young man had the misfortune of walking too near a college & having some woman see him re-position his improperly stored AR-15 in his car before he left it locked in a shopping center parking lot while he walked away with his sidearm holstered to go shopping at a nearby store. Again the college was locked down & a swat team invasion in military gear
Starbucks coffee houses have made themselves officially Criminal Friendly as they try to "Ban Guns with out Banning Guns" Starbucks saw an uptick in business when 2A groups heard that the GunGrabbers were targeting them with a boycott. Starbucks liked the increase in business until the most recent Starbucks Appreciation days one of the Newtown CT GunGrabbers groups made a media stink & called in people from NYC to protest.
So now the Starbucks CEO officially went on several news stations to try to explain how he's not "Banning Guns" (after all he still wants the money from the 2A People) but that they will serve anyone coming in to get coffee if they still have their guns on their hips but well Starbucks want you to Disarm & Leave your Gun in the Car - you know because they don't want anyone to be afraid of seeing a gun... especially criminals
Keep an eye on the news & what your state & federal lawmakers do up there on the capitol hills Call your congressmen & law makers at the state level too & let them know where your vote stands on this issue
As for Starbucks well I don't buy coffee out very often to begin with & only 1 event did I attempt to buy a cup in support but it was closed by the time I got there - I do not care to spend my money at Starbucks which I have only had 3 times in the past - it is way over priced & my $5 goes much further at the gas stations with my refill mug or at Dunkin Donuts where I can get a bagel or muffin or donut along with my coffee for the same $5 & even get some change back - so I will continue to get my refills in my trusty mug Any Place But Starbucks
"Washington DC" comes to town, and it was full of hot air.
We may not be able to get up to Washington DC to be able to talk to our elected officials but we do have access to them in our states
Last night was a 2fer - Both my State House of Rep & Federal State House of Rep held a joint meeting so I put forward a question to both
The meeting was supposed to only run from 6p until 7:30p but Rep John Larson spent so much time talking;
that instead of taking questions from 7p to 7:30p he started taking questions at 7:20 & I do not know when he ended
We left after 9pm & John was still taking questions & half of the people were still there waiting their turn
Yes the IMPEACHMENT Question was Raised - Yes Benghazi was Raised - Yes Frank- Dodd was raised
Oh so many questions were raised by Patriots & by people who aren't yet awake & had questions
John Larson tried to act like he was insulted & to marginalize the people that asked the questions he didn't like
John Larson also tried to act like people didn't understand what they were asking questions about
That is something that politicians use as a tactic to distract those who do not understand what the Patriot's questions are actually about
My son is out of the Navy but still in that "InActive Reserve Status" meaning that if the gov't runs out of bodies it can call my son back to Active Duty
so I asked what should have been a quick Yes or No question about the pending War in Syria
"Yay or Nay when Congress is Called Back from recess are you voting for or against going to war in Syria?"
Rep John Larson being the ultimate politician managed to give his answer that he thinks We the People want to hear
but also what is very possible to happen in spite of what he's telling us at the meeting
I think everyone should take the time to go the meetings when the DC Elected people are in town
When they see that people are getting up off their couches & getting to the meeting they start paying attention
You might not be able to afford to go to DC but you can make the effort to go to a Town Hall Meeting in Your State
Make that effort to go - you might get to ask your questions
You will definitely will be able to figure out what direction your elected official is planning to go
At the local levels & state levels you have a better chance of more directly affecting policy
but the federal level affects us all as & that is where the country's direction is headed
to neglect attending or at least watching the meetings you are not fully knowledgeable or prepared
A Prepping Resource bemoaned about is the lack of like minded people... attending these meetings is actually a way to meet them
I've met in person Preppers at meetings that have nothing to do Prepping/SelfReliance but Politics &/or Church
The people that are Active rather than sitting on their butts complaining are DOing not just talking about what to do
Do you want to only just have a few online friends that are Ready or do you want to have people around you that are READY?
We need to think about it - I LOVE my friends (heck the guys & gals here are like brothers & sisters)
but Reality hit me that in the event of emergency as much concern & how I may want to help any one of them
all I can do is Pray because I do not have a car to drive cross country to physically help
here in the local area if I am unable to reach a person by phone someone that is in a 2 hr drive away I could check in on
making certain that they are ok, offering some help with work food etc & then drive back in time to get Hubby from work & go home
We need to have some local people that we can connect with too
A concerned woman, wife, mother, grandmother exercising my first amendment freedom of speech & freedom of the press
I'm not politically correct, I call it like I see it & I tend to be Blunt because my Daddy didn't teach me how to sugarcoat shit - if you do not like what I write I invite you to go start your own blog & say what you want there
